Technological advancement is taking the world by storm and impacting every industry operating around the world. Surveillance technology has been evolving in silence, however, and its capabilities are strongly unknown to the general public. We do know that the rapid advancements of artificial intelligence, machine learning, the internet-of-things, motion detectors, and facial recognition are being integrated into this technology, for better or for worse. Countries all over the world are using intelligent surveillance to monitor and maintain strict order among their citizens, violating human civil liberties and privacy rights. It’s only a matter of time before surveillance states are mass adopted by all corrupt government leaderships.

During my senior year of university, I spent 2 semesters researching and designing projects around the social issue of Surveillance States. These projects include an informational presentation, designing and constructing a clock, designing and constructing an exhibit, and designing and printing a booklet. All of the process for these projects can be found within the booklet.
